You're in the right place! On December 16th, 2020 at Noon - right here on this page - the Community Foundation of Broward will announce the inaugural 12 Broward Nonprofit Hidden Heroes Award winners. We'll honor their inspiring contributions made during the challenges of 2020 and shine a light on these very special people who went beyond their roles and stepped up when our community needed them most. 2020 Nonprofit Hidden Heroes Awards Show
You're in the right place! On December 16th, 2020 at Noon - right here on this page - the Community Foundation of Broward will announce the inaugural 12 Broward Nonprofit Hidden Heroes Award winners. We'll honor their inspiring contributions made during the challenges of 2020 and shine a light on these very special people who went beyond their roles and stepped up when our community needed them most. They enabled their nonprofit to continue valuable services to their clients and the community during the pandemic - without skipping a beat. How were our Hidden Heroes selected? ā€A judging committee made up of community leaders evaluated all nominations and selected the winners based on the following:
  • They took on extra work or tasks outside their usual job description.
  • They were bold, innovative and adaptive.
  • They solved problems to the benefit of your organization and/or clients or community.
  • They created new systems that will continue to be utilized.
...and you're probably wondering what the winners get? Each winner receives a wonderful prize package that includes a $500 cash award, a gift certificate for two from The Restaurant People to their various restaurants, a gift certificate for dinner for two at Boatyard restaurant, a gift certificate for two free meals from Farm to Fork Meals, a $40 gift certificate to Rivertail restaurant, and recognition for their service (plus a superhero cape and medal they can wear to make their friends and co-workers jealous.) They will also receive a 2-night staycation at the beautiful Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel, valued at $900 and includes free parking and resort amenities. Now THAT'S recognition fit for a hero! BONUS! Not only are we celebrating the Hidden Heroes themselves, but each of their organizations will be offered a VIP seat in the Foundation's upcoming Resilience & Recovery program, to improve nonprofit crisis preparedness, and it comes with a monetary award of up to $25,000.
